Privacy policy

This directory is designed to minimize collection of personal information. It does not offer user accounts, reviews, provider claims, payments, or child enrollment.

Public provider records

Center pages are generated from public business and regulatory records. We intentionally exclude administrator/director names, source email addresses, mailing addresses, home-provider records, and free-text compliance narratives.

Search and location

Text searches run in your browser after downloading the public search index. If you choose “use my location,” the browser asks for permission and calculates distance locally. The site does not receive or store that precise location through this feature.

Server logs

The hosting and security provider may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. Retention and processing are governed by the hosting provider’s services and settings.

Maps and external links

Map frames load only when they approach the viewport. Loading a map or following an external link sends a request to that third party, whose privacy policy applies. External destinations include Google Maps and government/provider sites.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, referring pages, and interactions. Google may process identifiers and set or read analytics cookies where permitted. In the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics storage defaults to denied unless an applicable consent choice grants it. You can restrict cookies through your browser and use Google’s Analytics opt-out tools. Google describes its data practices in its Privacy Policy.

Advertising

The site does not currently display advertising or load advertising code. If that changes, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before ads are enabled.

Children’s privacy

The site is directed to adults researching services. Do not submit personal information about a child. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
